About CaseFill
Court paperwork help for people handling their own case
A note from the founder
Hi, I'm Jonathan Flores.
If you landed on this site because an envelope just arrived in the mail, or because someone handed you a packet of court forms that made your stomach drop, take a breath. I know that exact feeling, and I know how isolating it can be.
Years ago, as a young man, I found myself holding legal documents that felt impossible to comprehend. I remember sitting at the kitchen table, staring at pages filled with strict deadlines, Latin terminology, and procedural jargon, feeling completely outmatched. I didn't have a background in law. More importantly, I didn't have thousands of dollars lying around to hand over to a lawyer for a retainer.
Trying to figure out where to even start representing myself was exhausting. The system doesn't hand you an instruction manual; it hands you penalties if you make a single clerical mistake. That kind of stress isn't just paperwork. It keeps you up at night, strains your focus, and drains your energy.
Going through that turmoil changed my perspective entirely. The legal system shouldn't be a maze where only people with deep pockets get a fair shake. Regular, hardworking people deserve a way to protect themselves and stand their ground without going broke or losing their minds in the process.
I built this platform out of that necessity.
I wanted to take modern technology and use it to solve a very human problem: taking the dread out of the paperwork. Instead of spending hours second-guessing line items or staring at blank government PDFs, our software breaks the process down into plain English and automates the tedious form-filling. It helps you get your documents organized, accurate, and ready, giving you back your time and your sanity.
A few important things to know as you use this:
- Use the free tools to the fullest. If money is tight right now, please use CaseFill's free tools completely. They're here to give you breathing room when you need it most.
- Pay it forward if you can. For those who choose to contribute to help keep the servers running and our tools updated, every dollar will be credited toward your future account membership and subscription upgrades.
- You don't have to do this alone. This platform was made for normal, everyday people like you and me who just need a fair chance to navigate life's challenges.
Take your time, look through the resources, and use the tools as much as you need. We're here to help you get through it.
Warmly,
Jonathan Flores

What CaseFill is
CaseFill is document software. It fills in official California Judicial Council forms and federal court forms in your browser, checks them for clerical problems, and organizes your case papers and deadlines. Your case details stay on your device.
CaseFill is not a law firm, attorney or Legal Document Assistant, and doesn't give legal advice. For advice about your situation, your court's free self-help center, a legal aid organization or a lawyer can help.
